Pierre Courtin is a French painter and engraver, born in 1921. His abstract work was part of the surrealist movement in the early forties, and then later part of the neo-cubist period which was at its time was influencing the entire Paris school. Courtin’s exhibition in 1970 at "L’il" was subject to an important catalogue. A catalogue raisonne of Courtin’s prints with 400 items illustrated and thoroughly described and ten full-page color plates can be found at Abebooks.
